The Seattle Seahawks may look to move on from veteran Noah Fant if their first- and second-year tight ends pan out.

Set to kick off OTAs later this month, the Seahawks will break in a new 11-player draft class with some veterans benefiting from that group’s arrival and others closely watching the rearview mirror.

Still sitting $6 million over the salary cap, the Seahawks will have to execute some difficult moves coming out of the NFL combine to not only be cap compliant, but have the flexibility to re-sign and add players in free agency.

John Schneider still has plenty of work left to do shoring up the Seahawks’ financials before free agency begins, but a skyrocketing salary cap will make the process easier.

Still more than $10 million over the cap, the Seahawks will have to pull several more levers to ready themselves for the start of free agency next month.
